Lanie and Kate

In Rise we learned that Beckett didn't get in touch with Castle. But she also did not have any contact with her best friend, Lanie, for weeks. I wondered why that would be.

After thinking about it, I came up with two likely explanations:

The first one is a simple one. Beckett just didn't want to have anything to do with job for a while, she wanted some space from everything that reminded her of Castle and Montgomery.

But wouldn't you want to heal, physically and emotionally, with your best friend by your side? The reason why I don't think the detective didn't want the ME around, is that she was afraid that her friend would see right trough her lies of not remembering the moments after she got shot. And she definitely didn't want to talk and think about her relationship with Castle, so she shut her out. I'm curious if she will tell her best friend now she admitted it to her shrink, that she remembers everything.

What do you think is the reason of the silence between the BFF's? Space, dealing with Castle's confession or something completely different?
