Is Kate Beckett Secretly Investigating Richard Castle's Dad?

Castle and Beckett in Season 4, Episode 16,
We all know Castle’s working on his own special, BTS investigation into Johanna Beckett without Kate Beckett’s knowledge, but in Season 4, Episode 17: “Once Upon a Crime,” it looked like the tables had turned.

One ep after hearing from CIA agent Sophia Turner that Castle’s dad was also connected to the Central Intelligence Agency (mind still blown), Beckett was handed a note from a female officer in the precinct.

But that’s not what was weird. What did raise some eyebrows was the fact that Beckett didn’t immediately tell Castle what was in the note. Don’t these two share (pretty much) everything case related? We think yes!

That being said, we’re curious: Could the brunette bombshell be doing some rogue detective work behind Castle’s back, too? Or are we just reading way into it?

While most of you agree that Beckett investigating Rick’s pops would be one helluva twist, we want to know if you actually think that’s what’s going on. We mean, despite the fact that she’s an actual detective (and not just, ahem, playing one), Beckett just isn’t as sneaky as Castle. Would she really do something like this?
