Sneak Peeks and Spoilers Roundup for Castle Season 4, Episode 19: "47 Seconds"

The Team Looks Worried in Castle Season 4, Episode 19: "47 Seconds"

Brace yourself, Castle fans. Monday night's all-new episode is going to be explosive! And we don't just mean that figuratively.

When a bomb goes off in New York City at an anti-Wall Street-style protest, Richard Castle and Kate Beckett must piece together the 47 seconds leading up to the explosion. The only problem? There's a list of witnesses a mile long. The other problem? Beckett accidentally drops herown bomb while interrogating a suspect.

(Don't want to be spoiled? Now's your last chance to run!)

Here's how it all goes down: A young journalist (played by guest star Christine Woods) is live on the scene in New York's Boylan Plaza when a bomb explodes. Castle and Beckett arrive moments later to find five people dead and 28 injured.

Beckett's words have a lingering effect on Castle, who goes home and confides in his mother. "Nobody's tomorrows are guaranteed," he says. In typical Martha fashion, she comes right out and asks her son how he plans to act on his realization, meaning, when will he tell Beckett how he really feels?

"What if she's not ready?" Castle asks. "Then she never will be," Martha responds.

Back at the precinct, Castle and Beckett give Captain Gates the bad news: Of the 94 people they interviewed, not one is a solid lead. Even worse? The bomber has more catastrophes planned. Beckett convinces Gates to help her obtain the Boylan Plaza surveillance footage from the FBI, which could help prioritize witnesses. But the clock is ticking …

Just when things are finally starting to look up, another bomb goes off, but this time there's only one victim: Richard Castle. The lovesick author overhears Beckett accidentally reveal her secret — that she rememberseverything from the day she was shot — while she interrogates a suspect named Bobby, who witnesses say dropped a backpack and starting running as it exploded.

"All this time ..." Castle says, looking shell-shocked as he stares at Beckett through the two-way mirror. "You remembered?"
