The Final Frontier: Caskett Spoilers and a preview

A little over two days to go till it is time for an episode we are looking forward for a while already, The Final Frontier.

Examiner was able to watch the episode already and has a preview and some scoops for us. Read them here:

As some of you may already be aware, I was fortunate enough to get to see the screener for "The Final Frontier" on Thursday, and I can tell you this much: it's geeky, cheeky fun, and had me rolling in laughter throughout its entirety. If you're a fan of the sci-fi genre, this one will definitely be right up your alley.
The nods to beloved sci-fi series of the past and present are many and varied ("Star Wars", "Star Trek", multiple Joss Whedon shows, and so much more.) You may want to have a little "Firefly" marathon before Monday just so that you can have a refresher when it comes to picking up on the multiple references to the ill-fated space western. Much of it is tongue-in-cheek jabs, but they do a great job of honoring the show's legacy as well.
Honestly, the amount of detail that went into set design for Supernova Con in this episode is just amazing. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that they shot this episode at an actual Comic-Con. The details are just that good. Major props to Alfred Sole and Castle's Art Department in this episode on that front. If you've ever been to a con before, this episode will definitely give you a feel of nostalgia.
Now for some Caskett scoop (because I know you're dying for more):
  • "The Final Frontier" is NOT a filler episode. I cannot stress this enough. You will be very pleased with the amount of Castle and Beckett moments.
  • Beckett's an unashamed Nebula 9 fangirl, but don't make fun, because the reveal of KB's geeky, cosplaying past in college paves the way for a great Caskett moment later in the episode that peels another layer off the Beckett onion.
  • According to Beckett, Castle's such a big fan of a certain "Star Wars" character that he keeps a life-sized version of him in his bathroom.
  • Castle has a bit of a scare during the investigation, which leads to an interesting chat between he and Beckett about his future plans. Let's just say he wants to keep certain options open.
  • One of my favorite exchanges between the pair: "In your dreams." / "Look at my life. My dreams come true."
And lastly, you may have read about the final scene of the episode that Jonathan Frakes teased will take Castle and Beckett's relationship to another level. I'll go one step further and say that that final scene? It's going to knock you guys off your feet. Trust me. It was nothing I expected but ohhow I loved it.

What do you expect will happen between Castle and Beckett in the final scene?
