Like Father, Like Daughter: Joelle Carter Guest Stars

We're not sure Boyd Crowder's going to be happy about this casting news.

Justified star Joelle Carter has booked a guest role on ABC's Castle, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

On Castle, Carter — who plays Ava, the wife and co-conspirator of Walton Goggins' criminal kingpin Boyd Crowder on the critically loved FX drama — will portray Maggie Ingram, the long-time girlfriend of a death row inmate who is on the verge of being executed. Will Maggie lean on Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) to re-investigate her beau's case before he's put down? (We'll have to see if Maggie is as persuasive as Ava is with her shotgun.)

Besides her role on Justified, Carter has appeared on Grey's AnatomyBody of Proof and NBC's short-lived Prime Suspect.

Castle
returns for its sixth season Monday at 10/9c. Carter is slated to appear in the new season's seventh episode, "Like Father, Like Daughter." An airdate has not been scheduled.

The moment that I met you, my life became extraordinary. You taught me to be my best self, to look forward to tomorrow's adventures. And when I was vulnerable, you were strong. I love you, Richard Castle. And I want to live my life in the warmth of your smile and the strength of your embrace. I promise you I will love you. I will be your friend and your partner in crime and in life, always. - Kate Beckett The moment we met, my life became extraordinary. You taught me more about myself than I knew there was to learn. You are the joy in my heart. You're the last person I want to see every night when I close my eyes. I love you, Katherine Beckett. And the mystery of you is the one I want to spend the rest of my life exploring. I promise to love you, to be your friend, and your partner in crime and life, 'till death do us part, and for the time of our lives. - Richard Castle
