I’m baaaaaack! And just in time for a very intense, on the edge
of your seat episode! If your anything
like, your emotions probably ranged from yelling to crying and took you on an
emotional rollercoaster. In one of Stana’s
best performances this season, we got an undercover gone wrong case the almost
was the end for Caskett. With so much
intensity and emotion picking only 5 moments was hard, but let’s get started!
5. Helpless
Castle
is frustrated that he is unable to help Beckett as he stands watching an interrogation
with Ryan and Espo. He says “I hate
this. She’s out there somewhere, has no
idea how much danger she’s in and I can’t help her.” Espo tells him that he can
and reminds Castle that “she might be your fiancé but she’s also a damn good
cop so don’t sell her short.” First, I loved that Espo was trying to keep
Castle’s mind on saving Beckett but he also made a good point that Beckett is
very good at her job and Castle needs to have a little faith in her. While
Beckett wrote a very heartfelt letter, Castle’s open concern lets you know how
much he truly loves her. He has always
cared for Beckett like a member of his family and I never get sick of seeing
him want to fight for her. Of course, I only like him fighting for her if he
gets her back in the end.
4. President?
Beckett
and Castle are discussing the case, and Castle tries to say that at least the
police know Vulcan Simmons is Lazarus but Beckett tells him that isn’t true,
that he is just a figurehead for someone much bigger. They learn that the illegal money was going
to a super PAC and it’s then revealed that Senator Bracken is going to explore
a run for President and already has a lot of funding. Coincidence?
I think not. Beckett points it
out but realizes they have no way of proving it. Castle questions why, if Bracken was Lazarus,
he didn’t just let Beckett die in the woods? Beckett explains “because when I stopped the
assassination last year, I saved him. And he told me that he owed me. And now
we’re even. So the next time we see each
other…” Castle, not liking the direction
the conversation was going, kisses Kate on the head and leads her to the
bedroom. Dun, dun, dunnnnn! Looks like Bracken and Beckett’s mom’s case
is back and based on the look Kate gave at the end, she was feeling the strain
that the case puts on her. I like that
Castle tries to keep her out of that mindset, but you can tell that after
realizing that Bracken doesn’t owe her anymore that she is unsure what will happen
the next time they see each other. Intense
moment and I’m guessing this will lead to a very stressful and intense future
episode!

3. Times
New Roman or Arial?
Beckett
is raving to Castle about how great it is to have a day off where they can just
relax. She says it’s a day where there
are no goals and you are trying to waste “hours on end.” Castle jokingly tells her to stop describing
his life and says they can use the day to pick a font for their save the date
cards. Beckett likes one font, but
Castle says he doesn’t really like it but she could “convince him.” Beckett
agrees to “convince him” because “Its clear to me that what we both need right
now is a really good font.” As they start to head to the bedroom, Beckett’s
phone rings sabotaging Castle and Beckett’s “domestic bliss.” I think its safe to say I’ll never think of
fonts the same again, but of course we miss out on the Caskett fun because of
the precinct! Ugh! Well hopefully they decided to pick a font
later J
2. Babe
After
being reunited with Kate, Castle tries to lighten the mood saying “see what
happens when I leave you alone?” Beckett
responds “Babe I wasn’t alone. When they were interrogating me, the only thing
that kept me going was thinking about you, about our future, the wedding. You were with me the whole time.” They share a kiss and you can’t help but feel
your heart melt. Beckett was so open
this episode, and the fact that Castle and their relationship was her
motivation to keep going *the feels!*.
That wasn’t all the love we got in this episode though, check out the #1
moment!
1. Love
Letters
Thinking
she may no escape her situation alive, Beckett writes Castle a letter. It was so full of emotion, honest, and
complete opposite of what we would expect from Beckett of seasons past. Read Below J
Dear Rick,
I don’t
know how much time I have, even to write this letter. What I do know now is that I’m in this, and
the only way I’m gonna make it out alive is to see this through. I’m sure everyone is looking for me, and if
they figure out I was here, CSU is gonna search this house. They’re gonna look for blood, and they will
find it, which will lead them to this letter.
Babe, it’s your letter and I hope you never have to read this and I can
tell you all these things in person. But if something happens and I don’t make
it I need you to know that our partnership, our relationship is the greatest
thing that has ever happened to me. You’re
an amazing man, and I love you with all of my heart. Always
Ending it with
always?!?! That was the final straw for
me; let’s just say the floodgates opened. The amount of importance she puts on
their partnership and relationship is something we have known all along but
great to hear her admit. It’s so
refreshing to see Beckett so open (even if it was a letter) and what she would
want to say to Castle if she never saw him again. Luckily this wasn’t the case,
but if this is a preview of the type of vows she would write this fandom is
going to die!
All the awards to Stana?
